One of the most important things the Shelter does is provide space, time and resources for a woman and her children to heal. Each family member receives specialized counselling, and opportunities to spend time together to re-build their family.

The cribs in the 16 shelter rooms are now 10 years old, and have cradled thousands of babies over those years. Provide the gift of a safe night’s sleep for our littlest clients (and their moms!) by helping us to replace worn out and broken cribs in each room.

Cover the cost of safe transportation (taxi) for a woman and her family recovering from domestic violence.

Upon entering the Shelter, families begin a long list of appointments at hospitals, the court house, viewing housing, gathering necessities, and applying for funding, amongst others. Due to insurance requirements and lack of resources, many clients must use public transportation or taxis to get to their appointments.
